Low Trading Volumes Keep on Characterizing the Beirut Stock Exchange

The Lebanese bourse continued to show frail activity on Thursday as only 12,639 shares were traded worth of $156,567. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) decreased by 0.15% to 1,138.99 points, broadening its year-todate gains to 2.67%, noting that 4 out of the 6 traded stocks ended in the red. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” gained 0.10% to $10.15, while the “B” shares dropped 0.98% to close the session at $10.10. In the banking sector, Audi listed and preferred shares class “H” lost 0.17% and 0.10% to end up at $5.74 and $100.70, respectively. Similarly, Byblos listed shares went down by 0.61% to settle at $1.62, while BLOM GDR shares were traded with no change in price.
