Relative Stability on the Beirut Stock Exchange on Friday

Following yesterday’s protests, the Lebanese Bourse barely shifted on Friday on the back of mixed performance in the real estate sector. In fact, and even though the banking and industrial sectors experienced trades, albeit no change in price was recorded.  The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) increased by 0.004% today to 1,145.09 points following the trade of 38,681 shares worth $593,086. In the banking sector, listed shares of Byblos and BLOM Bank as well as Bank of Beirut preferred shares class “H” traded at their previous quotes.  In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” lost 0.30% to settle at $10.08 while Solidere class “B” shares increased by 0.40% to $10.04. In the industrial sector, Holcim shares traded with no change in price.
