Activity at the Rafic Hariri International Airport (RHIA) progressed during the first 11 months of 2015, where the total number of passengers increased by 10.5% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 6.62M.
The number of arrivals grew by 9.6% to 3.20M, while departures rose by a yearly 10.7% to 3.39M by November. Furthermore, the number of transit travelers surged from 13,067, to 32,074, over the same period.
For the month of November alone, the total number of airport passengers added 17.3% yearly to reach 501,204. Arrivals increased by 12.4% y-o-y to 228,727, and departures jumped by 20.7% y-o-y amounting to 268,595. Transit travelers surged from 1,347 last year to 3,882 in November 2015.
