Mixed Performance on the Beirut Stock Exchange Today

On Wednesday, the Lebanese Bourse witnessed a positive performance in the banking sector which was mainly offset by a downturn in real estate shares. Accordingly, The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) slightly inched up by 0.01% to 1,145.56 points following the trade of 40,855 shares worth $398,860. In the banking sector, the listed shares of BLOM and Audi gained 0.43% and 0.50% to settle at respective quotes of $9.45 and $6.00. Meanwhile, Byblos preferred shares 2009 exchanged hands at their previous quote of $100.60. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares classes “A” and “B” fell by 0.40% and 1.39% to close the session at $10.01 and $9.91, respectively.
