Value of Industrial Exports Dropped by 6% y-o-y by September 2015

According to data released by the Ministry of Industry, the value of industrial exports reached $2.25B in the first nine months of 2015, down by 5.8% compared to the same period in 2014 and by 14.1% compared to 2013.

In the third quarter of 2015 alone, the industrial exports amounted to $709.4M, revealing a decrease of 12.1% compared to the third quarter of 2014. Chemicals were the main industrial exports over Q3 2015, amounting to $ 154.6M, followed by electrical equipment products with $146M, and food products worth $114.2M.

Arab countries were the main customers of Lebanese Industrialists in the third quarter 2015, grasping 57.4% of total exports. Saudi Arabia was on top of the exporting countries with a total export value of $83.1M (11.7% of total exports), followed by Iraq and UAE with total export values of $80.7M (11.4% of total exports) and $68M (9.6% of total exports), respectively.
