According to the central bank of Lebanon , Cement deliveries decreased by an annual 2.65% by July 2018 to stand at 2.78M tons, compared to 2.86M tons by July 2017. This can be explained by the decrease in the number of construction permits by a yearly 15.91% to reach 8,311 by June 2018 according to the Orders of Engineers in Beirut and Tripoli .
It is worth mentioning that the six-month moving average of the number of cements deliveries increased by 1.26% year-on-year (y-o-y), to reach 417,415 tons by July 2018.
