The activity at Rafic Hariri International Airport improved during the first 11 months of 2018, where the total number of passengers rose by a yearly 8.51% to 8.26M.
In fact, the number of arrivals to Lebanon went up by a yearly 7.48% to 4.07M by November 2018. Also, this period witnessed a 16.48% yearly increase in departures, which reached 4.08M by November 2018. Meanwhile, the number of transit passengers dropped from 4,567 passengers by November 2017 to 4,028 passengers by November this year.
As for the month of November alone, the total number of airport passengers grew by 5.98% yearly to reach 628,205. In details, arrivals rose by 9.01% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 311,738 and departures climbed by 3.20% y-o-y amounting to 316,292. Transit travelers witnessed a significant decrease from 326 last year to 175 in November 2018.
