Beirut Stock Exchange downturned by 0.19% on Tuesday

The Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) ended Tuesday’s session with a 0.19% downturn as the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) closed at 1,227.66 points. In the banking sector, which captured 83.36% of total value traded, Bank Audi listed and GDR shares lost 0.73% and 0.71% to $6.80 and $6.95, respectively. In contrast, BLOM Bank common shares gained 3.60% to settle at $9.50, as the board declared dividends of LBP 1,000 per common share equivalent to a dividend yield of 7.29%. In addition, Bank Byblos preferred shares 09, BLOM Bank GDR shares and Bank Byblos listed shares, of which 468,528 shares were cross traded, exchanged with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares classes “A” and “B” declined by 1.28% and 4.05% to end the session at respective $11.60 and $11.36.
