Lebanese Bourse Continue to Show Slow Activity on Wednesday

The Lebanese stock market continued to depict slow activity, as the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) only experienced 17,855 traded shares on Wednesday. In details, following Tuesday’s upturn the BSI down ticked by 0.04% to 1,235.96 points and yet recording a 5.61% year-to-date increase. In the banking sector BLC preferred class “A” shares gained 4.00% to settle at $104.00 while Bank Byblos listed shares lost 1.14% of its value to $1.73. In the real estate sector, Solidere class “A” and “B” shares declined by a 0.62% and 0.89% to $11.16 and $11.15, respectively. In the industrial sector, HOLCIM shares improved by 6.67% to close the session at $16.00.
