Real Estate Sector Boosted the Lebanese Bourse Today

The Beirut Stock Exchange experienced a recovery in the beginning of the week, due to the positive performance of the real estate sector. Accordingly, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) went up by 0.14% to 1,192.52 points, broadening its year-to-date gains to 1.90%. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” gained 0.43% and 0.96% to $11.64 and $11.62, respectively. In the banking sector, Bank Audi listed shares increased by 0.49% to close the session at $6.15. In contrast, Bank Audi GDR shares, and its preferred shares class “G and Byblos Bank preferred shares 2009 lost of 0.79%, 0.30% and 0.10% to $6.27, $100 and $100.60, respectively. Meanwhile, the listed shares of Byblos, BLOM and BEMO, and BLOM GDR shares, Byblos Bank preferred shares 2008, and Audi preferred shares class “H” exchanged hands with no change in price. In the industrial sector, HOLCIM shares also traded with no change in price.
