Wednesday’s trades on the Beirut Stock Exchange occurred on lower volumes with a mixed performance in the real estate sector and a positive performance in the banking and industrial sectors. Accordingly, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) rose by 0.23% to 1,188.82 points following the trade of 30,867 shares worth $775,486. In the industrial sector, HOLCIM shares gained 6.67% to reach $15.20. In the real estate sector, Solidere A shared fell by 0.85% to $11.71 while Solidere B shares gained 1.03% to $11.78. In the banking sector, BLOM Bank’s listed shares and Byblos Bank’s preferred 08 shares rose by 0.41% and 0.30% to end the session at $9.70 and $100.50, respectively. BLOM’s GDR shares and Bank Bemo’s preferred 2013 shares were traded without any change in price.
