The Rafic Hariri International Airport activity rose during the first 11 months of 2016, where the total number of passengers increased by a yearly 7.44% to 7.12M.
The number of arrivals to Lebanon went up by 8.93% y-o-y to 3.49M by November 2016. Also, this period witnessed a 6.65% yearly increase in departures, which reached 3.33M by November 2016, compared to 3.16M by November 2015. However, the number of transit passengers plunged from 32,074 passengers by November 2015 to 13,148 passengers during the same period in 2016.
As for the month of November alone, the total number of airport passengers increased 10.92% yearly to reach 555,931. Arrivals grew by 18.36% y-o-y to 270,713, and departures rose by 6.05% y-o-y to 284,845. Transit travelers fell from 3,882 last year to 373 in November 2016.
