BSE Dominated by Banking Sector Increases to Highest in 2 Months

The Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) progressed where the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) reached its highest level since more than 2 months. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) gained 0.54% to 1,186.82 points. The banking sector dominated the trade on the BSE, taking a share of 95.57% of total traded value, with BLOM GDR shares and Byblos listed shares adding 0.42% and 2.48% to close today’s session at $9.65 and $1.65, respectively. In contrast, Byblos preferred 2009 shares lost 1.36% to $101.60. Audi preferred shares classes “E” and “F” were traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” and “B” shares increased by 1.21% and 2.27% to $11.71 and $11.69, respectively.
