At 16:13 Beirut time, the Euro was quoted at €/$ 1.1230, the equivalent of €/LBP 1,692.92, depreciating by 0.54% against the US Dollar since yesterday.
The dollar gained ground against the euro today after Janet Yellen kept the option of a rate increase in March on the table.
Locally, the Lebanese Pound steadied against the Dollar standing at $/LP 1,513-1,514 with a mid-price of $/LP 1,513.50.
Compared to the pool of currencies of Lebanon’s major trading partners, the purchasing power of the Lebanese Pound depreciated as reflected by the NEER, published by BLOMINVEST, which registered a 0.26% decline to 167.72 points today.
