Lebanese Bourse Improved as BSI Witnessed a 4.77% YTD

The BLOM Stock Index (BSI), an indicator of the Lebanese Bourse activity, upturned by 0.15% on Tuesday to settle at 1226.04 points, recording a 4.77% year to date increase. In the banking sector, which grasped 70% of total traded value, BLOM Bank and Bank Audi common shares gained respective 0.62% and 1.18% to close the session at $9.76 and $6.84. On the other hand, Byblos Bank listed shares lost 1.16% of their value to $1.71, while Bank of Beirut preferred class “E” and BLOM Bank preferred 2011 shares traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere class “A” grew by 0.18% to settle at $11.12, while class “B” shares dropped by 0.9% to $11.06.
