Since the Eid holidays were celebrated during the month of July, it was expected that airport traffic would increase in Lebanon. As such, the Rafic Hariri International Airport activity grew during July 2016, where the total number of passengers increased by a yearly 9.38% to 4.27M.
In details, the number of arrivals to Lebanon rose by 9.17% Y-o-Y from 2.00M by July 2015 to 2.18M in the same period of 2016. Moreover, this period witnessed a 9.65% yearly increase in departures, which reached 2.07 M by July 2016.
As for the number of transit passengers, it rose 0.64% from 11,513 passengers by July 2015 to 11,587 passengers by July 2016.
