Positive Performance Characterized The Lebanese Bourse Today

The Lebanese Bourse saw positive momentum as six of the ten traded stocks ended in the green while the remaining traded with no change in price. In details, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) increased by 0.42% to 1,193.55 points, broadening its year-to-date gains to 1.99%. In the banking sector, Bank Audi listed and GDR shares gained 1.14% and 1.12% to settle at respective quotes of $6.19 and $6.32. Furthermore, BLOM Bank listed shares and Byblos Bank preferred shares 2009 edged up by 0.31% and 0.10% to $9.64 and $100.60, respectively. Meanwhile, Bank of Beirut listed, Byblos Bank common, BLOM GDR shares and Bank Audi preferred shares class “G” exchanged hand at their previous quotes.  In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” augmented by 0.70% and 0.26% to close the session at $11.56 and $11.52, respectively.
