At 10:25 Beirut time, the Euro was quoted at €/$ 1.1195, the equivalent of €/LBP 1,687.65, depreciating by 0.10% against the US Dollar.
After reaching the $1.12-level yesterday, the Euro witnessed a slight correction on Friday. The European currency’s decrease against the dollar also took place due to the drop of the German factory orders, alluding to a potential weakening in the European trade activity.
Locally, the Lebanese Pound remained unchanged against the Dollar standing at $/LP 1,513-1,514 with a mid-price of $/LP 1,513.50.
Compared to the pool of currencies of Lebanon’s major trading partners, the purchasing power of the Lebanese Pound increased as reflected by the NEER, published by BLOMINVEST, which registered a 0.08% rise to 167.76 points today.
