Slight Progress on the Lebanese Bourse on Tuesday

Despite a poor performance in the real estate sector, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) barely changed, up ticking by 0.01% on Tuesday to 1,148.29 points following the trade of 67,920 shares worth 575,419. The BSI registered a 1.88% year-to-date decrease and a 1.92% drop from its value a year ago. In the banking sector, listed shares of Byblos and Audi gained 1.25% and 0.17% to settle at respective quotes of $1.62 and $6.00. In contrast, GDRs of BLOM and Audi declined by 0.21% and 0.17% to end the session at $9.70 and $5.99, respectively. Meanwhile, BLOM common shares and Bank of Beirut preferred shares class “H” traded with no change in price.   In the real estate sector, Solidere shares classes “A” and “B” shares dropped by 0.78%  and 0.40% to close the session at $10.14 and $10.08, respectively.
