Sluggish Banking Sector Held Back Lebanese Bourse on Friday

The Lebanese Bourse ended Friday’s trading session with the same 0.23% decline as the previous session to 1,190.03 points and recorded a 1.69% year-to-date increase. In the real-estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” each gained 0.99% and 0.18% to respectively close at $11.25 and $11.14. In contrast, the banking sector witnessed declines in price for each of Bank Audi’s listed and GDR shares by 0.48% and 0.61% to $6.17 and $6.56 respectively, and of Bank Byblos listed shares by 2.29% to $1.71. In addition, BLOM Bank listed and GDR shares traded with no change in price.
