Better Trading Activity Failed to Boost the Lebanese Bourse’s Performance Today

The Lebanese Bourse saw improving trading activity on Monday as 4 out of 7 traded stocks ended the session in the green. Despite that, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) declined by 0.54% today to 1,143.85 points following the trade of 190,347 shares worth $1,508,145, due to the 3.83% fall in the value of Audi common stocks to $5.52. In contrast, BLOM preferred shares 2011, Bank of Beirut preferred shares classes “H” and “I”  increased by respective amounts of 0.50%, 0.97% and 0.97% to close the session at  $10.15, $26.00 and $26.00. Meanwhile, BLOM Bank GDRs traded with no change in price.   In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” augmented by 0.57% to $10.63.In the industrial sector, HOLCIM shares exchanged hands with no change in price.
