National Dialogue Triggered Lebanon’s Stock Exchange Down Today

The political dialogue taking place today negatively impacted the real estate sector, which was also translated to the Lebanese Bourse today. Accordingly, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) declined by 0.24% to 1,141.12 points, broadening its year-to-date loss to 2.49%. In the real estate, Solidere class “A” and “B” shares fell by 3.57% and 6.74% to settle at respective quotes of $10.25 and $10.10. In the banking sector, BLOM listed shares also declined by 0.32%o close the session $9.40 where 1,604,490 shares were cross traded on Tuesday. Bank Audi listed shares it gained 4.17% to settle at $5.75 while BLOM GDR shares also improved by 0.21% to $9.72. Meanwhile, Byblos listed and preferred shares 2009 traded with no change in price.
