Rafic Hariri International Airport (RHIA) activity progressed during the first 9 months of 2015, where the total number of passengers increased by 10.50% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 5.55M. The number of arrivals grew by 10.14% to 2.71M, while departures rose by a yearly 10.49% to 2.82M by September. Furthermore, the number transit travelers surged from 10,695 to 21,151, over the same period.
Taking the month of September alone, the total number of airport passengers added 17.13% yearly to reach 750,290. Arrivals increased by 17.68% y-o-y to 331,181, and departures jumped 15.41% y-o-y amounting to 413,488. Transit travelers surged from 844 last year to 5,621 in September 2015.
