The Lebanese Bourse Ended Friday’s Session on a Negative Note

The Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) downturned during the last session of the week, as the real estate sector continued to weigh heavily on the bourse’s performance. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) declined by 0.21% on Friday to 1,137.73 points, broadening its year-to-date loss to 2.78%. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” declined 0.91% and 0.31% respectively, to end the session at respective quotes of $9.80 and $9.72. In the banking sector, Bank Audi listed and GDR shares lost 0.50% and 0.83% to converge at the same price of $5.95. In contrast, Byblos Bank listed shares and Bank Audi preferred shares class “F” gained 0.63% and 0.10% to close the session at $1.60 and $101.10, respectively. Meanwhile, BLOM Bank listed shares traded with no change in price.
