The Beirut Stock Exchange Started the Week in the Green

The Lebanese Bourse showed a positive performance on Monday on the back of gains in the banking sector. Accordingly, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) increased by 0.13% to 1,157.46 points following the trade of 129,729 shares worth $638,113. In the banking sector, BLOM GDRs and listed shares in addition to Audi common shares gained 0.31%, 0.53% and 1.67% to settle at $9.75, $9.45 and $6.10, respectively. Meanwhile, the listed shares of Bank of Beirut and Byblos traded with no change in price.  In the real estate sector, Solidere shares classes “A” and “B” declined by 1.53% and 2.22% to end the trading day at $10.30 and $10.11, respectively. In the industrial sector, Ciments Blancs Bearer shares increased by 30% to close the session at $3.90.
