The number of industrial permits reached 339 in the second half of 2015 (H2 2015), compared to 320 for the same period in 2014. The highest number of permits, 74, was recorded during the month of August while the lowest number, 32, was registered during the month of September. Construction permits accounted for 38.6% of total industrial licenses, while those relative to “Construction and Investment” followed with a stake of 22.4% of the total. Meanwhile, the share of permits related solely to the investment stood at 19.5% of total construction licenses. In terms of regions, the largest number of permits 197 (58%) was granted in Mount Lebanon and was trailed by the regions of Bekaa and North Lebanon with 65 (19%) and 31 (9%) permits, respectively. In terms of industrial zones, Choueifat and Bouchrieh received 13 and 8 permits respectively, while 7 permits were handed in each of Burj Hammoud and Bchamoun.
