Total BDL Assets Reached $113.68B in Mid- September 2017

According to the balance sheet of the Lebanese Central Bank (BdL), total assets rose by 2.52% to $113.68B in mid- September, compared to $110.89B mid-August.

Foreign assets (37.86% of total assets) and gold reserves (10.77% of the total assets) revealed respective drops of 1.37% and 3.71% between mid-August 2017 and Mid-September of 2017 to $43.04B and $12.25B. Nonetheless, securities’ portfolio (25.22% of the total assets) registered a 0.75% rise over the same period to reach $28.67B by mid-September 2017.

Moreover, loans to the local financial sector (5.83% share of total assets), they escalated by a monthly 17.45% to $6.62B in mid-September 2017.

On the liabilities side, financial sector deposits, grasping an 80.64% share of the total, increased by 2.69% during the same period to $91.67B. Public sector deposits (5.52% of total liabilities) dropped by 3.45% to reach $6.27B in mid-September- 2017.
