The activity at Rafic Hariri International Airport increased during the first 10 months of 2018, where the total number of passengers rose by a yearly 8.73% to 7.63M.
In fact, the number of arrivals to Lebanon went up by a yearly 7.36% to 3.76M by October 2018. Also, this period witnessed a 7.47% yearly increase in departures, which reached 3.77M by October 2018. Meanwhile, the number of transit passengers plunged from 4,241 passengers by October 2017 to 3,853 passengers by October this year.
As for the month of October alone, the total number of airport passengers grew by 11.01% yearly to reach 684,617. In details, arrivals rose by 9.89% year-on-year (y-o-y) to 327,219 and departures climbed by 12.02% y-o-y amounting to 357,054. Transit travelers witnessed an important increase from 182 last year to 344 in October 2018.
