Activity on the BSE Occurred at a High Volume on October 2, 2014

The Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) closed in the green today, on a high traded volume of 3.06M worth $18.47M, where no traded shares decreased in price. The BLOM Stock Index gained 0.15% to reach 1,174.41 points. The most traded stock was Audi listed shares with a volume of 3.04M shares, out of which 318,274 shares were cross-traded. These days are showing active trading in Audi stocks as the bank issued 50M new shares that started to be traded on the 30th of September. The banking sector took a share of 99.08% of total traded value, with BLOM GDR shares adding 0.53% to close today’s session at $9.50. Audi listed shares and Bank of Beirut preferred “H” shares exchanged hands with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” and “B” shares increased by 0.83% and 0.08% to $12.11 and $12.00, respectively.
