Real Estate Transactions up Yearly by 29.89% by September 2021

According to the data from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (LRC), the number of Real estate (RE) transactions which may include one or more realties, went up by a yearly 29.89% to stand at 71,580 transactions by September 2021. In its turn, the value of total RE transactions stood at $10,545.44M by September 2021, compared to $10,077.07M in the same period last year, up by 4.65%.

On a monthly basis, the number of RE transactions stood at 13,527 in the month of September 2021, compared to 10,061 transactions in September 2020. For instance, a substantial 3,176 transactions, or 23.48% of total RE transactions, were concentrated in the region of the Baabda alone in the month of September 2021. Meanwhile, Metn, South and Keserwan, each grasped the respective shares of 14.21%, 12.55%, 11.74% of the total RE activity in September 2021.

Moreover, the breakdown of RE activity regionally for September 2021 showed that Beirut is the one that grasped the lion’s share of the total value of RE transactions, equivalent of 24.49% and worth $482.29M, while Metn and Baabda followed, constituting 18.74% and 18.60% of the total, each worth $369.12M and $366.43M, respectively.
