Real Estate Transactions Up Yearly by 110.45% by March 2022

According to the data from the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (LRC), the number of Real estate (RE) transactions which may include one or more realties, went up by a yearly 110.45% to stand at 27,741 transactions by March 2022. In its turn, the value of total RE transactions stood at $3.8B by March 2022, compared to $2.3B in the same period last year, up by 67.80%.

On a monthly basis, the number of RE transactions stood at 9,744 in the month of March 2022, compared to 11,111 transactions in March 2021. For instance, a substantial 359 transactions, or 24.22% of total RE transactions, were concentrated in the region of the South alone in the month of March 2022. Meanwhile, Baabda, Zahle, and North, each grasped the respective shares of 15.11%, 14.98%, 13.97% of the total RE activity in March 2022.

Moreover, the breakdown of RE activity by value for March 2022 showed that Beirut grasped the lion’s share of the total value of RE transactions, equivalent of 34.56% and worth $77M, while South and Keserwan followed, constituting 17.11% and 21.17% of the total, each worth $38.12M and $47.16M, respectively.
