The Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) began the week with an increase, where the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) gained 0.11% to 1,173.44 points. The banking sector grasped the major share of 73.04%, where Byblos Bank listed shares, Bank Audi listed shares and preferred shares “G” increased by 1.23%, 0.32% and 0.50% to $1.64, $6.22 and $101.50, respectively. In contrast, Byblos preferred shares 2009 lost 0.39% to $101.10. Meanwhile, BLOM Bank GDR shares were traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” and “B” shares lost 0.26% and 0.44% to close at $11.30 each.
