Lebanese Bourse Closes at 10-Week High on Friday at 1,181.69 Points

The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) ended Friday’s session robustly, with a 1.21% increase to 1,181.69 points on a 10-week high volume of 1,833,566 shares worth $11,658,281. The banking sector dominated trade on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE), with a 93.86% share of total traded value, where Audi listed shares gained 4.04% to $6.18. On the other hand, Audi GDR shares lost 0.91% to end the day at $6.54. Meanwhile, BLOM GDR shares and preferred shares 2011 were traded with no change in price.  In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” and “B” shares gained 2.41% and 1.06% to $11.48 and $11.41, respectively. In the industrial sector, HOLCIM shares leapt by 8.07% to close the trading session at $16.21. Meanwhile, in the retail sector, RYMCO shares lost 3.92% to close at $3.19, following dividend distribution.
