5 out of 9 traded shares on the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) declined in price on Wednesday, pushing the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) down by 0.62% to 1,172.37 points. Total traded volume reached 228,667 shares worth $922,884, where the banking sector grasped an 86.85% share of total traded value. Byblos listed shares and Audi listed and GDR shares dropped 1.20%, 1.48% and 3.42% to $1.64, $6.01, and $6.50, respectively. In contrast BLOM GDR shares and BEMO listed shares gained 1.22% and 2.29% to $9.92, and $1.79, respectively. Meanwhile, BLOM listed and preferred 2011 shares were traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” and “B” shares edged down 0.62% and 0.27% to $11.30 and $11.26, respectively.
