The Lebanese Stock Market Losing its Momentum in the First Days of 2015 with the BSI Reaching 1,168.87 Points

The Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) continued its regress on Thursday, where the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) dropped 0.30% to 1,168.87 points following the trade of 655,203 shares worth $2,089,247. The banking sector took an 88.90% share of total traded value, where 559,400 Byblos listed shares were cross-traded. Byblos listed and preferred 2009 shares recorded decreases of 2.44% and 0.88% to $1.60 and $101.20, respectively. Bank Audi listed shares also lost 0.17% to $6.00 per share, while Bank BEMO preferred shares 2013 rose by 1.00% to $101.00. Meanwhile, BLOM listed shares were traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” and “B” shares edged down 0.18% and 0.71% to $11.28 and $11.18, respectively. In the industrial sector, HOLCIM listed shares gained 1.64% to $15.50.
