On the Beirut Stock Exchange, 412,861 cross-traded Bank of Beirut listed shares led to increased activity, as 711,637 shares worth $12,142,451 were traded on Monday as the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) inched up 0.10% to 1,172.04 points. The banking sector captured 97.14% of total traded value, as Byblos Bank listed shares and BLOM Bank GDR shares gained 0.61% and 0.40% to $1.64 and $10.00 per share, respectively. Meanwhile, Bank of Beirut listed and priority 2014 shares and BLOM Bank listed shares were traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” shares improved by 0.18% to $10.96, while class “B” shares edged down by the same percentage to $10.97.
