Lebanese Stocks Slip during the Week’s 2nd Trading Session

Low levels of trading kept on characterizing the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) Tuesday with total volume of traded shares barely inching up by 7.9% to 68,593 shares worth $655,228. In fact, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) recorded a 0.10% downtick today to settle at 1,228.83 points by the end of the session. Starting with real estate shares, Solidere “A” dropped 0.68% to $11.77, while its “B” counterpart rose by a marginal 0.09% to $11.68. In the banking sector, BLOM Listed shares lost 2.11% to $9.30, the Global Depository Receipts of Bank Audi increased by 1.71% to $7.12. In addition, Byblos shares, listed and preferred 08, respectively added 1.19% and 0.20% to $1.70 and $102.40. However, the preferred shares of Byblos Bank class 09 were traded at their previous closing price of $102.40.
