Real Estate Sector Boosts Lebanese Bourse Today

The Beirut Stock Exchange slightly improved today on the back of the real-estate sector. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) inched up by 0.13% to 1,195.61 points, and recorded a 2.17% year-to-date growth. The banking sector witnessed a mixed performance, in which Bank Audi GDR shares and BLOM Bank preferred shares 2011 lost 0.45% and 0.68% to settle at $6.60 and $10.15, respectively. In contrast, Bank Audi listed and preferred class “F” shares respectively gained 0.81% and 0.30% to $6.25 and $ 100.30. Moreover, BLOM GDR shares traded with no change in price. In the real-estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” increased 0.27% and 0.09% to end at respective quotes of $11.20 and $11.18.
