Real Estate Sector Puts Downward Pressure on the Lebanese Bourse

The Lebanese Bourse declined today mainly due to the negative performance of the real-estate sector. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) down ticked by 0.23% to 1,192.82 points, and recorded a 1.93% year-to-date increase. In the real-estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” dropped by 0.54% each to close at respective quotes of $11.14 and $11.12. The banking sector witnessed a mixed outlook, where Bank Audi listed shares lost 0.80% to settle at $6.20 while BEMO Bank listed shares, which were cross traded, gained 0.53% to $1.89. Moreover, BLOM GDR shares and Bank Audi Preferred shares class “G” traded at their previous quote.
