Unusually Active Friday on the Lebanese Bourse Today

The Lebanese Bourse ended in the red today as the real estate and industrial sectors experienced a weak performance today. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) went down by 0.17% to 1,182.88 points, narrowing its year-to-date gains to 1.08%. In the real estate sector, Solidere class “A” and “B” shares declined by respecitve 1.30% and 1.72% to $11.40 each. In the banking sector, Bank Audi listed shares and BLOM GDR shares gained 1.31% and 0.81% to settle at respective quotes of $6.19 and $10.00. In contrast, Byblos Bank listed shares fell by 1.23% to close the session at $1.60. In the industrial sector, HOLCIM shares downturned by 1.97% to settle at $14.90.
