Low Volume of Trade Marked the Lebanese Bourse on Monday

The Lebanese Bourse experienced a bad performance through an illiquid market as only 36,394 shares worth $459,171 were traded today. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) dropped by 0.40% to 1,178.18 points, narrowing its year-to-date gains to 0.68%. In the real estate sector, Solidere class “A” and “B” shares declined by 0.70% and 1.32% to $11.32 and $11.25, respectively. In the banking sector, Bank Audi listed shares lost 3.07% to settle at $6.00 while its GDR shares gained 0.17% to $6.02. In addition, Byblos listed and preferred shares 2009 augmented by 3.13% and 1.29% to close the session at respective quotes of $1.65 and $102.00.
