Only 21K Shares were Traded on the Lebanese Bourse Today

The Beirut Stock Exchange continued its shy trading activity on Tuesday, as only 20,967 shares were traded worth $247,147. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) dropped by 0.22% to 1,174.46 points, narrowing its year to date gains to 0.36%. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” lost 1.89% to settle at $10.89 while its class “B” shares gained 0.82% to $11.06. In the banking sector, Bank Audi GDR shares and its preferred shares class “F” declined by 0.83% and 0.10% to end up at $5.95 and $100.50, respectively. Meanwhile, BLOM Bank preferred shares 2011 traded with no change in price. In the industrial sector, Holcim shares decreased by 0.13% to close the session at $15.13.
