Mixed Outlook on the Lebanese Bourse Today

Activity on the Beirut Stock Exchange improved today although the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) declined by 1.02% to 1,162.51 points, the lowest registered level since the 19th of December 2014, recording a year to date loss 0.66%. In the banking sector, listed shares of Bank Audi and BLOM Bank loss of 5.97% and 0.94% to settle at respective quotes of $5.83 and $9.51. Notably, 100,000 listed shares of Audi and 40,000 BLOM listed shares were cross traded. The GDR shares of the respective banks gained 0.84% and 0.20% to close the session at $6.00 and $10.00.  In the real estate sector, Solidere shares “A” and “B” increased by 1.01% and 0.18% to $11.00 and $11.08, respectively. In the industrial sector, Holcim shares down ticked by 0.86% to $15.00.
