Banking Stocks Push Up the Lebanese Bourse Today

On the Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE), the banking sector had a positive performance, pushing the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) up by 0.03% to 1,172.70 points, broadening its year-to-date gains to 0.21%. In details, GDRs of Audi and Byblos listed shares gained 1.53% and 0.61% to settle at respective quotes of $5.99 and $1.65. In addition, the BLOM preferred shares of 2011 and Bank of Beirut preferred shares class “H” increased by 0.50% and 0.59% to $10.15 and $25.75, respectively. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” lost 1.07% and 0.44% to close the session $11.07 and $11.25.
