Slight Recovery on the Lebanese Bourse on Thursday

The Lebanese Bourse experienced a minor recovery from yesterday’s negative performance and yet its activity was still timid as 49,434 shares were only traded. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) ticked up by 0.04% to reach 1,149.31, narrowing its year-to-date loss to 1.79%.  In the real estate sector, Solidere class “A” shares gained 1.30%, following yesterday’s 6.36% plunge, to settle at $10.14, while its class “B” shares fared worse losing 0.88% to $10.15.  In the banking sector, Bank Audi listed shares and its preferred shares class “H” dropped by 0.17% and 0.10% to close at respective quotes of $5.99 and $100.60. Meanwhile, Bank of Beirut preferred shares class “I”, Byblos preferred shares 2008 and Bank Audi preferred shares class “F” traded with no change in price.
