Number of Airport Passengers Up 0.16% Annually YTD by June 2025

The cumulative activity at Rafic Hariri International Airport rose by 0.16% year-on-year (YoY) to 3,001,248 travelers. This increase was driven by a 3.45% cumulative YoY increase in arrivals, which totaled 1,599,788. This increase was driven by the onset of the summer travel season and a modest revival in tourism, despite regional instability driven by the Israel – Iran war.

Notably, this growth comes despite ongoing Israeli strikes on Lebanon, which now is mostly limited to specific areas.

On a monthly basis, airport passengers’ activity rose by 5.38%. The arrivals rise comes as summer begins and the academic year ends in many countries abroad – boosting travel as families visit, expatriates return home, and holiday plans pick up with the warmer weather and school breaks.
