Banking Stocks Push Up the Lebanese Bourse Today

The Lebanese Bourse ended in the green today on the back of a positive performance in both the banking and industrial sectors. Consequently, the BLOM Stock Index (BSI) illustrated a 0.27% ascent to 1,171.01 points, registering a year to date gain of 0.06%. In the banking sector, Byblos listed shares and Audi GDR shares gained 1.23% and 1.67% to settle at respective quotes of $1.65 and $6.10. Furthermore, listed shares of BLOM augmented by 0.11% to $9.51 while its GDR shares traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere shares class “A” and “B” downturned by 0.27% and 0.55% to close the session at $10.96 and $10.88, respectively. In the industrial sector, Holcim shares and Ciment Blancs nominal shares showed respective improvements of 2.58% and 12.73% to end up at $15.49 and $3.10.
