Bearish Oil Prices Caused Transfers to EDL to Decrease by August 2015

According to the Ministry of Finance, transfers to EDL reached $787.34M for the first 8 months of 2015, substantially lower than the $1.47B transferred over the same period in 2014.

Furthermore, EDL’s contribution to the oil bill increased to 2.8% over the same period, up from its previous share of 2.0% in the period January-August 2014.
