BLOM Stock Index Began December in the Red

The Beirut Stock Exchange (BSE) began the week in the red after the trading of 115,787 shares worth a total of $402,802. The BLOM Stock Index (BSI) lost 0.59% to 1,176.88 points. The banking sector grasped a share of 90.58% of total traded value, where Byblos Bank listed shares, Bank Audi listed shares, and BEMO Bank listed shares lost 0.62%, 0.63% and 6.36% to respective prices of $1.61, $6.30 and $1.62. Meanwhile, BLOM Bank listed shares and GDR shares were traded with no change in price. In the real estate sector, Solidere “A” and “B” shares lost 0.69% and 3.67% to close at $11.57 and $11.30, respectively.
