Construction Permits Rose Yearly by 35.86% to 754 in January 2026
Lebanon saw a 35.86% year-on-year (YoY) rise in construction permits to 754 permits in January 2026. The increase is primarily due to a more stable security environment, despite ongoing strikes in certain regions.
The number of permits increased across all governorates, as detailed below.

The Construction Area Authorized by Permits (CAP) also increased by 43.26% YoY to record 715,457 square meters (sqm) in January 2026. Geographically, all governorates experienced a rise in the CAP, as detailed below.
